WARNING WARNING NOTES

Connect the ThermoWorks Bluetooth temperature probes to all DateCodeGenie® devices. 

Parts Included:

  • Bluetooth temperature probe with rubber seal
  • AAA batteries
  • Black rubber boot
  • Zipper wallet
     

Connect ThermoWorks Bluetooth Temperature Probe to Device

Steps:

1. To turn on ThermoWorks Bluetooth temperature probes:

NOTES

  • If temperature probes are not connected to a device or the power button (yellow button two arrows icon) is not pressed within the set auto-off time (default after 10 minutes), then it will turn off.
  • Temperature probes (except Thermapen ONE Blue model) can be turned off by pressing and holding the yellow button for 2 seconds until the screen goes blank.
 

TempTest™ Blue Model 

Press the power button (yellow button two arrows icon) to turn on, and the probe’s measured temperature will be displayed.

 
 

RayTemp Blue Model

Press the power button (ON/OFF yellow button) to turn on, and the probe’s measured temperature will be displayed.

 
 

Thermapen® Blue Model

Pull out probe to turn on, the power button (yellow button two arrows icon) will briefly flash yellow color once.

WARNING

Avoid rotating the probe more than 180 degrees to prevent damage.

 

 
 

Thermapen® ONE Blue Model

Pull out probe to automatically turn on, and the basic mode with probe’s measured temperature will be displayed.

NOTES

  • This model will automatically pair to device when probe tip is unfolded away to turn on, and go to step 7 to continue. 
  • To turn off, fold probe by lightly pressing into rubber probe retainer.
  • This model will shut off if not connected to a device after 10 minutes or go into sleep mode after 30 seconds of inactivity. In sleep mode, it will stay connected to the device, and the timer is reset with any movement or button press.
 

 
 

2. Scroll to Settings app (gear icon) on tablet home screen to open.

3. Tap Connected Devices to open.

4. Tap Pair new device.


5. Locate 19415240 Thermapen Blue, 20445929 RayTemp Blue, and  21196733 TempTest Blue, and tap to pair. Thermapen One Blue will automatically pair when turned on and continue to step 7.

  • Thermapen Blue model will flash LED will briefly flash yellow.
  • RayTemp Blue model will have the Bluetooth symbol along with the temperature measurements display.
  • TempTest Blue model LED will briefly flash green.
  • Thermapen One Blue model will have a light sensor to backlight the display when in low light conditions along with the Bluetooth symbol and temperature measurements displayed.


6. Tap home button to return to tablet home screen and tap the Date Code Genie app.


7. Log in to the app with your username and password, if required.

8. Tap the navigation button to open options. Scroll and tap Temperature Probe Module to open.

9. Confirm the temperature probe connection status is displaying a message on top of the temperature: Connected - Press 'Transmit' button (yellow button two arrows icon) on Thermometer.

 
 


There are three ways to confirm the temperature probe is connected on the app:

Temperature Probe Module

Tap the three dots and tap Connect.

 
 

Device Info Pop-up

Tap the three dots and tap Device Info. Then tap OK to exit pop-up window.

 
 

Temperature Probe Display or Light Indicators

Confirm the connection status to the device with the temperature probe.

  • Thermapen Blue and TempTest Blue temperature probes will have five rapid amber light flashes indicating when connecting or disconnecting. 
  • RayTemp Blue and Thermapen One Blue temperature probes will show the Bluetooth symbol on the display when connected.
