An app error code displayed on an mC-Label3 printer, indicating the printer isn't set up correctly or is malfunctioning and will not print labels.

Start

 
 

Printer Paper Empty

Power status LED will slowly flash red.

1. Place label roll in the roll shafts. See Load Labels in the mC-Label3 Printer

2. Feed the labels through the roll guides and rubber roll.

3. Close the printer cover until it clicks in place.

4. Press the Feed button (arrow pointing to box icon) on the front of the printer to confirm labels are being pulled through.

5. Confirm the printer type is set to "Star MCL" and the correct label type has been selected.

6. If the printer is ready, it will display a steady blue color for power-on status.

Incorrect Label Type Selected

Power status LED will slowly flash red.

1. Go to Settings in the DateCodeGenie app.

2. Cofirm the printer type is set to "Star MCL".

3. Select Set Blackmark Detection or Set Continuous Feed.

4. A pop-up will appear for the label type selected, "Success Black Mark Set" or Success Continuous Feed Set".

5. The LED display status will blink rapidly.

6. After the LED display status stops blinking and becomes steady, the selections process is complete and printing can continue.

Printer Cover Open

If the printer cover is open, the printer power status LED will be a steady red.

1. Feed the label roll through the roll guides and rubber roll.

2. Close the printer cover until it clicks in place.

3. Press the Feed button (arrow pointing to box icon) on the front of the printer to ensure labels are being pulled through.

4. If the printer is ready, it will display a steady blue color for power-on status.

Paper Jam

If labels jam in the printer power status LED will rapidly flash red.

1. Open the printer cover.

2. Remove the jammed labels and place in the label roll inside the printer.

3. Close the printer cover until it clicks in place.

4. If the jam is cleared, the steady blue color for power-on status will display.

5. If a paper jam error occurs often, clean the printer parts. See Printer Placement and Care

Cutter Error

If the cutter did not operate properly, the printer power status LED will rapidly flash purple.

1. Open the printer cover. 

2. Remove the jammed labels, if possible.

2. Close the printer cover.

3. If the printer cover cannot be opened, turn the printer off, and turn it on again to check if the error is resolved.

4. If the cutter has been remove or mounted, check that the cable connector of the cutter unit is connected.

5. Turn the printer off and on again.

6. Feed the label roll through the roll guides and rubber roll.

7. Press the Feed button (arrow pointing to box icon) on the front of the printer to confirm labels are being pulled through.

8. If the printer is ready, it will display a steady blue color for power-on status.
