Temperature Probe is a portal add-on option available to probe menu items to record the temperature. The temperature options must be set individually for each menu item.

The Temperature Probe tab will display on the sidebar once turned on and used for reporting purposes. See How to Run Temperature Probe Reports in the Portal
 

Steps:

1. Log in to the portal at www.datecodegenie.com using the recommended browser. See What Internet Browser Should I Use To Access My DateCodeGenie® Portal?

2. Scroll down and click on the Menu Items tab on the sidebar.

3. Edit an existing menu item or click Add Item to create a new item.

4. Scroll down to the Temperature Probe section.

5. Click +  Add an action to set the requirements needed.

NOTE

There is no option to change Fahrenheit to Celsius in the portal. There is an option to change degrees in the app.

 

Options:

  • Condition: The temperature from the probe needs to meet this condition to activate the action.

  • Action: The text that will appear on the confirmation notification in the app when the action is activated.

  • Low Fahrenheit: The lowest accepted temperature to activate the action.
     
  • High Fahrenheit: The highest accepted temperature to activate the action.

  • Notes: A custom field that will display in the app with additional instructions for your staff related to the options needed.

6. Click Save Changes.
