Update Item Retail Pricing from App Permission
Update Item Retail Pricing from App is an app permission that allows staff to change the retail price on the app print preview page for a menu item.
If the Location Overrides feature is turned on, they can also update the location override retail price for the location in the portal using the device assigned to that location. See How to Use Update Item Retail Pricing on the App and How to Set Up Location Override in the Portal
NOTES
- Automatic changes to price in the portal only happen with Location Overrides permission.
- If Allow Price Adjustment permission is selected in the portal, then Retail Price Override will display on the menu item's print preview page. See Allow Price Adjustment Permission.
When this permission is turned on, the Menu Item Options (3 dots icon button) will appear on the print preview page app notification bar. Click the menu item options button and select Update Pricing option. Then enter the preferred Retail Price for the set default printer profile on the menu item's print preview page.
When Location Overrides is turned off, you can only change the retail price on the app print preview page for a menu item. No changes are made to the portal retail price.
