Default printer profile is the printer profile used for a menu item when entering the print preview page and to print using the quick print button.

Setting a default printer profile makes it easier to find the correct printer profile for the menu item and ensures consistent labeling.

When a default printer profile has been set for a menu item, the quick print button (printer icon) will appear on the menu item button on the app, see Understanding the App Dashboard.

There are four ways to set a default printer profile:

Locations	Set for all menu items at a location under the Locations tab, see Locations. Set for all devices at this location.
Category	Set by each category under the Category tab, see Manage Categories. Default for all menu items within the category. Overrides location default. WARNING The locations for the category must match those for the printer profile to set it as the default. If they do not match, set the default printer profile using location overrides under menu items.
Menu Item	Set by each menu item under the Menu Items tab, see Manage Menu Items. Default for individual menu item. Overrides category and location defaults. WARNING The locations for the menu item must match those for the printer profile to set it as the default. If they do not match, set the default printer profile using location overrides under menu items.
Location Overrides Menu Item	Requires software add-on option. Set by each menu item under Location Overrides under the Menu Items tab, see Set Up Location Overrides in the Portal. Default for individual menu item at an individual location. Overrides menu item, category and location defaults.
